He was waiting in the corridor of Hotel Imperial. She came around the corner and that was it. Tears, smiles, the kind of moment that is both completely overwhelming and completely right. Her parents behind her, his dad watching his son. Two families from opposite sides of the world, standing together in one of Vienna’s most historic hotels, all of them crying and laughing at the same time. The best kind of chaos.
The Ceremony at St. Peter’s Church Vienna
A private ceremony at St. Peter’s Church, one of Vienna’s most beautiful baroque churches, dressed entirely for Christmas. Trees, candlelight, the kind of decorations that make a historic church feel intimate instead of grand. Just the people who matter most, in that light, watching these two finally become family. Despite the cold, Vienna in December does something to people. The city just looked perfect. Christmas markets, lights everywhere, that particular grey winter light that makes everything feel cinematic. And then we found them a Glühwein from the market and brought them into the inner courtyard of Daun-Kinsky, just the two of them, a Christmas tree behind them, warm cups in their hands. One of those moments you cannot plan. Just two people, completely happy, in one of the most beautiful courtyards in Vienna on a winter afternoon.
The Dinner and Legal Ceremony at Palais Daun-Kinsky
Everyone walked in and just stopped. That reaction you get when a room is so beautiful it takes a second to process. Palais Daun-Kinsky at Christmas is something else entirely. Flowers everywhere, candlelight, that particular warmth that only comes when a historic palace is dressed for the season and filled with people who traveled across the world to be together.
The civil ceremony happened right there, inside the palace. Intimate, private, just the people who mattered most watching these two make it official in one of Vienna’s most beautiful rooms. And then dinner. The table was something else entirely. Embroidered napkins, each one tied with a red ribbon, the Palais Daun-Kinsky crest stitched into the fabric. Not just a decoration. A souvenir. Something every guest took home from Vienna. That level of detail is what separates a beautiful wedding from an unforgettable one.unforgettable one.
